ATRA Mission Statement
To facilitate the rapid development of affordable, high quality
telecom services to the entire population of Afghanistan by
providing a transparent, non-discriminatory legal-regulatory
framework that encourages innovative private sector participation
and accelerates the adoption of Information Society Services as soon
as possible.
ATRA Statutory Authority
ATRA was established pursuant to the comprehensive telecom law that
was signed by HE President Karzai on 18 December 2005 and published
in the Official Gazette on 23 February 2006 (OG 878). The full text
